Sutra Check is an independent regulatory analysis, research, and educational decision-support tool. It parses publicly accessible government gazettes, acts of Parliament, and ministry consultation papers into interactive matrices and reference templates.
Use of this platform does NOT constitute formal legal advice, attorney-client privileged counsel, or statutory certification under the Advocates Act, 1961. You should not act or refrain from acting on the basis of any content included on this site without seeking individual legal counsel licensed in India.
01.Acceptance & Applicability
By accessing or using https://sutracheck.in (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must discontinue use of the Site immediately.
These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and organizations who access the site, including software engineers, compliance professionals, researchers, and enterprises.
02.Scope of Services & Regulatory Heuristics
Sutra Check provides:
- Interactive Risk Classification: Heuristic estimation of regulatory touchpoints based on user-supplied parameters (data sensitivity, target users, deployment model).
- Two-Column Statutory Matrix: Curated comparison distinguishing binding legislation (DPDPA 2023, IT Rules, CPA 2019) from voluntary advisory benchmarks (MeitY 7 Sutras).
- AI Grievance Redressal Policy Generator: Automated template generation based on statutory mandates under Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules and DPDPA requirements.
- Lineage & Cross-Jurisdictional Mapping: Comparative mapping across RBI FREE-AI, BIS ISO/IEC 42001, and EU AI Act principles.
03.Permitted Use & Intellectual Property
You are granted a non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Site for your internal business evaluation, research, and educational compliance planning:
Policies generated using our Grievance Policy Generator may be freely copied, modified, incorporated into your company's public documentation, and deployed in production environments without royalty.
The visual design, brand identity, classification logic, and editorial taxonomy are the intellectual property of Sutra Check. While quotation with clear attribution is welcomed, scraping or verbatim republication for commercial resale is prohibited.
04.Prohibited Conduct
When utilizing Sutra Check, you agree not to:
- Engage in automated scraping, denial of service (DoS), or actions that disrupt platform availability.
- Falsely claim or represent that Sutra Check's automated output represents an official endorsement, sanction, or certification from MeitY, the Data Protection Board of India, or any statutory authority.
- Use the platform to facilitate unlawful activities or circumvent Indian regulatory mandates.
05.Limitation of Liability & "As-Is" Provision
To the fullest extent permissible under applicable Indian law:
The Site and all generated outputs are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
In no event shall Sutra Check, its creators, researchers, or contributors be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages (including, without limitation, regulatory fines issued by the Data Protection Board of India, litigation costs, loss of business, or commercial disruption) arising out of or in connection with your use or inability to use the platform.
06.Governing Law & Exclusive Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by, construed, and enforced in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and the Indian Contract Act, 1872.
Any disputes, claims, or controversies arising out of or relating to these Terms or the use of Sutra Check shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts situated in New Delhi or Bengaluru, India.
